The Annika Linden Centre

The Foundation is pleased to announce an extremely exciting new project that is underway in Bali.  Our Founder Mark Weingard is personally funding the construction of a new health and education facility - the Annika Linden Centre.  The project started late in 2010 with a needs assessment of the four charities (YAKKUM, YKIP, YRS, Bali Hears) who will be housed in the centre.  The centre will also provide support to our other partners such as YRS and EBPP who’s projects require them to be based outside the centre.  This new facility will provide a permanent home to these charities as well as providing modern and efficient treatment for their clients.

The land has been selected in Tohpati, a suburb of Denpasar.  The location is ideal for easy access from the main transport routes and being in a village setting it is a beautiful and tranquil location. 

The Foundation created an Architectural Brief and invited 6 architects to pitch for the project.  The process involved submitting initial design and planning ideas based on the brief and after two rounds of pitching, we were able to select the architect in April 2011
