ALF IN BALI
Jara Mara Pati Aged Care Home
In December 2009 we approved funding for the refurbishment of the Jara Mara Pati Aged Care Home in North Bali. The home is government-run, but in a terrible state of disrepair and the 80 or so residents are in dire need of better care. We worked with the existing administration to improve things for these unfortunate eldery folks who don’t have families to take care of them. With our funding residences were refurbished and additional medical care was arranged. Now the residents of Jara Mara Pati in Bali are enjoying a much more sanitary and hospitable living environment. The facility’s 12 buildings were badly in need of repair, but now there are modern toilets, repaired roofs and new interior décor. Medical care had been very spotty in the past, but now ALF-funded nursing staff will be looking after the residents. The funding for this program stopped in 2011. |
