This project is run in cooperation with the Bali Hotels Association (BHA), offering up to 8 scholarships annually to STP, Bali’s premier hotel management school. Scholarships are offered to Balinese students with relatives working in one of the 105 BHA Member Hotels. The selection process includes a thorough assessment of school grades, attitude and means testing; as the scholarships are awarded to those from an underprivileged background, who show promise and an eagerness to follow a career in Hospitality. Students must meet strict criteria after each semester to continue their scholarship grant. In addition students receive special coaching and mentoring from the General Managers & Human Resources at their sponsoring hotel.

The BHA Scholarship Program represents a long-term commitment to assist disadvantaged students wishing to pursue a career in the hotel management industry. This is one project that would have been especially close to Annika's heart, as she worked in the hotel industry.

Since its’ inception in 2003, the ALF has funded 49 scholarships, and as of September 2009, 6 students have graduated, some with honors, and 10 are in the graduating class for 2009. Graduating students are offered positions at their sponsoring hotel, and continue to stand out amongst their peers through their work ethic and attitude; expressing their gratitude for the opportunity they were given.
