ALF IN BALI

The Annika Linden Foundation and Yayasan Kemanusiaan Ibu Pertiwi (YKIP) www.ykip.org  have been working together since the aftermath of the initial Bali bomb. YKIP's vision is for a better Bali through Health and Education Programmes for the needy.

Formed shortly after the Bali tragedy, ALF sought a local partner in Bali to get rapidly started implementing projects to help bomb victims and their families.  They found an able and ready partner in YKIP, and the partnership has since evolved to include a variety of health and education projects throughout Bali. To date ALF has donated well over $1 million to projects administered by YKIP and has made commitments of at least that much again over the next three years.

Under their operating arrangement, YKIP earns an administrative fee for monitoring several ALF-funded projects which currently include: YAKKUM, YAKEBA, YRS, KEMBALI and Children's Hearing Projects.  YKIP also monitors a number of ALF-funded initiatives of the East Bali Poverty Project.
